Hiking Trails

There are many great trails just out the door of our condo and also throughout the Park City area! First, go to parkcitytrails.org where you'll find a great interactive map of trails in the Park City area. Whenever you are heading out on a hike, make sure you are prepared for the conditions with a jacket in case it storms and plenty of water. There are many trail options and here are a few of our top picks:

Hiking from our Condo at PCMR

Dawn's Trail

Exit out the ski locker room, go up the stairs and take right. Follow the PCMR road to the Silver Spur trail. Take that trail to Dawn's Trail, which is a hike only trail. Depending on how far you want to go, you could take Dawn's to Armstrong and then down (4.2 miles roundtrip). Armstrong is a popular biking trail and may be busy depending on the day. You could also turn around on Dawn's trail at any point and come back down that same trail. You could also take Spiro up or down, but again that's a popular mountain bike trail.

Mid-Mountain

Mid-Mountain is another popular trail. It's not hiking only but it runs from Deer Valley, to PCMR, to Canyons. For easy access to it, you could ride the Payday lift to cut out some of the uphill hike required to get to the trail. The lift runs in the summer for a small cost.

Round Valley

The Round Valley Trails are about a 5 minute drive from our condo. This trail area can be quite exposed and hot in the summer so if you are heading out on a sunny, hot day, try to get there early while it's cooler. The fun part of this area is that the trails cross frequently so you can pick many different routes to weave and wind around this area. You'll find more beginner trails at Round Valley than what's available near our condo.

Rob's Trail

Between the Canyons resort and Utah Olympic Park, you'll find Rob's Trail. This is a popular trail for locals, including the local moose. Michelle likes the views on this trail and also that it has good tree coverage so it's not too hot in summer. Be sure to keep your distance from moose as they can charge and be protective of their space.

Blood LakeĀ

Drive up Guardsman Pass for a hike to Blood Lake. This trailhead can be quite busy! The trail is a steady climb to the lake. 2.8 miles roundtrip.
